Create Memories,

Grow in Faith,

Traditional Camp Fun,

- at the Howell Conference & Nature Center Resident Camp!

Each summer, the Howell Conference & Nature Center Resident Camp Program provides a Christian camp setting for hundreds of children in grades 2nd through 12th grade.  Camp is a great opportunity for children to create memories that will last a lifetime.  They will make new friends, explore and learn about nature, try new adventures, and connect with God.

Situated on nearly 300 acres, the Howell Conference & Nature Center is owned and operated by the Presbytery of Detroit.  Guided by Christian camp leaders, resident camp gives children the chance to grow in their faith in a unique setting.  All religious denominations are welcome to attend resident camp.

Campers enjoy modern lodges, while taking part in numerous traditional camp activities.  Days are spent swimming, boating, doing crafts, playing outdoor games, enjoying campfires, learning archery, and so much more.  In addition, campers are challenged with the high ropes course, 500-foot zip line, and 60-foot climbing tower.

Each week has a different theme to choose from, starting in June and ending in August. Many camps also include off-site activities, such as visiting Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes or the Kings Island Amusement Park in Ohio.

Howell Conference & Nature Center is accredited by the American Camp Association and licensed by the State of Michigan.  Our health officers and lifeguards are Red Cross certified.  In addition, we practice a “Challenge by Choice” philosophy for all activities.
