Patient of the week 🦉

Last week we featured an older owl, so we thought we’d feature a baby owl this week! This owlet was brought to us after a scuffle with a dog, but thankfully we expect a full recovery. It’ll be a while before release, as this little floof has a lot of growing and learning to do, but we are happy to provide a safe haven and a second chance. ❤️

He/she seems so unconcerned and just taking this hand feeding in stride. Am I "reading" the behavior wrong? I love this!

I’ve been wondering how he’s been doing! Thanks for the update, Howell Nature Center

Such a good sign that the eating is good.. seems like a pretty calm little guy
