Glacier Valley Eco Zip Tour–Thrill as you experience a seven-zip tour spanning a half-mile. View the Nature Center’s unique geological and ecological features on this guided eco adventure. (rate includes equipment rental and training for this 3 hour adventure, 4th grade & up, must weigh between 60 and 250 lbs) Check our online calendar for dates and online registration.
Zip Line Rides-Ride our two longest zip lines, Reptile Run and Amphibian Alley (age 5& up)
Climbing Tower – Check out the view from the tallest outdoor climbing tower in Michigan. This 60′ structure features windows to rest and take in the view. (age 5 & up).
High Ropes Courses – Navigate through the trees more than 25′ in the air in our high ropes courses – North Pines and South Pines. Multiple obstacles to conquer provide challenges for ages 10 and up.
Printable Adult-Waiver and Minor-Waiver required to participate in all high adventure programs, please print, complete, and submit upon arrival.Initiatives/Low Ropes – Challenge your team to reach its full potential. Low elements engage your group in problem-solving challenges intended to enhance communication, cooperation, mutual support, and trust. Minimum age is 10 years old.
NEW for 2017! The Giant Swing! – Hop into our harness and get pulled up to 40 feet in the sky to take a view of our beautiful landscape. Then you release the swing to experience the g-forces. Take time to hang out with our experienced staff as they make you scream with excitment!

The following are all of the teambuilding low ropes programs that are offered based on age and the group’s needs: Adventure Play: Games designed to help young children learn to work together (preschool-3rd grade, 1 hour) Obstacle: Series of physical challenges done in a cooperative way (3rd-5th grade, 1-2 hours) Team Challenge: Combination of ground level games and low elements, designed to help groups learn to work together (5th-7th grade, 2 hours) Team Adventure: Combination of ground level games and low elements, designed to help groups learn to work together (5th grade-adult, 3-8 hours)

Your safety is a top priority at the Howell Nature Center. Participants in any adventure activity receive proper instruction and equipment by trained Nature Center staff. We are accredited by the American Camp Association and operate under safety standards of the Association for Challenge Course Technology.
