Walk for Wildlife

M049-16 Red FoxGather around the Giving Tree in the main courtyard to step off our annual Walk for Wildlife! Help support local wildlife with the Howell Nature Center! All proceeds go towards the Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic which cares for over 3,000 injured and orphaned
birds, mammals and reptiles each
year. We are the largest Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic in the state of Michigan and we rely on the kindness of people like you to keep our doors open. So come out and join us! Lets Walk for Wildlife! Click here to see badge requirements that will be met on this Wild Walk!

10:00 a.m.– Event Day Registration Opens!  10:30 a.m.-Walk for Wildlife steps off

Walk for Wildlife, $15/person, or $50/family includes:

  • 1– to 3-mile walk on HNC’s scenic trails featuring nature know-how along the way
  • SHOP for handmade gifts for MOM at the Critter Crafter Show and beautiful bedding plants, hanging baskets and select perennials at the annual Flower Sale
  • People friendly dogs on leashes welcome, please limit one dog per person. No dogs allowed in the wildlife park.
  • NEW for 2017! Our Walk for Wildlife will include a Naturalist guide to help you get the most out of your walk in nature! Many girl and boy scout badge requirement opportunities will be available as well as interpretive nature stations for walk participants! Follow the link for badge opportunities here.
